Panthella Verner Panton table Lamp for Louis Poulsen Denmark, 1971

Big format Panthella Table lamp Designed by Verner Panton for louis Poulsen (label on the bottom) This is the original vintage table light and not in production anymore. Its much bigger than the new panthella light and it still has the light switch button in the lamp base.

Early edition with cream colored lamp base
Created in 1971, Verner Panton's Panthella design is one of his more popular. The basic light principle aimed to create a lamp in which the base as well as the shade would act as a reflector. The lamps light source is hidden under a milky-white, hemispheric acrylic shade and a white, trumpet-like base contributes to a beautiful distribution of light and a well balanced form.
Please note that the lamp has a European 2-pin plug.

A very smart retro Teak sideboard by the high end Scottish manufacturers McIntosh. It is of top quality and in very good condition for its age it just has a few minor scratches and one hinge which is broken and a bit of dirt inside.
